The Preclinical Research Center conducts fundamental research aimed at identifying new methods of therapy, prevention and rehabilitation of socially significant diseases, as well as developing and validating experimental models of various pathological conditions. One of the key areas of activity is conducting preclinical studies of medicines and medical products.
Main areas:
- Determination of the specific activity of compounds and establishment of the mechanisms of the resulting effects (analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antitumor, antidiabetic, anticonvulsant, nootropic, antihypoxic, antiopisthorchiasis, etc.);
- Development of experimental models (including surgical ones);
- Assessment of the toxicity and cumulativeness of pharmacologically active substances with single and repeated administration;
- Assessment of specific types of toxicity, allergenic capacity, carcinogenicity, pyrogenicity, immunotoxicity, reproductive toxicity, etc.;
- Assessment of toxicity and local effects of medical devices.
